Here is a “houndstooth” quilt top that I recently pieced.  I love the way it turned out, and it was simple and quick to piece. I plan to bind it with black fabric.  Not entirely sure how I will quilt it at this point, but thinking about stitching at 1/4 inch from the seams in each motif.  That way the houndstooth pattern should stand out.

This quilt was made in a class that I took at the Indian Summer Quilt Show in Fargo a few years ago.  The pattern uses 2 1/2 inch strips.  I had a jelly roll that I picked up at Jo-Ann’s and I pulled a few complementary fabrics from my stash.  I was very pleased with the result!  I gave this quilt to my former boss, who was battling cancer.  Sadly, he wasn’t able to enjoy the quilt for as long as we all had hoped.  Garry's quilt

This is a quilt that I made with my mom last May.  We used the civil war reproduction fabrics that we’d been gathering up from quilt shows and shops.  The star blocks were time consuming and quite fussy to make, but look beautiful, I think.

Round Robin Quilt. I chose the fabrics and made the centre medallion, then it was passed through the round robin group so each member could add a border.  I absolutely love this quilt.

Quilted Postcard.  I took this photo on one of my walks along the paths at the golf course this winter. The sky was such a beautiful shade of pink and blue…it inspired me.
